    Summer Pop Up 2017 May 09 2017

New Hampshire Gift Shop Rebecca Tollefsen

Come on by to shop my latest pop-up shop. The pottery cabinet is full and there's lots of other interior decor and gifts that you can't find anywhere else. I hunt high and low for the pieces in my pop-ups and I've been collecting pieces for the past four years for a storefront. Every time I produce a pop-up I pull out all the pieces I've collected over the years and put them together to form a seasonal collection based on materials and color. For summer I have beautiful wall baskets, plant stands that can be left as is or finished and that big, beautiful white mirror (all shown above). I also have framed and unframed prints, wicker wall decor, mid-century modern shelving and LOTS of beautiful pottery - think wine goblets, crock dishes, plant pots, serving dishes and of course more rad mugs. Follow along on Instagram (both in my feed and in stories) and on Facebook for peeks of what's in store or stop by to pick up a new treasure.

Gratitude Rocks Have Arrived In The Shop! December 05 2016

Gratitude Rocks: six year old's charitable project

    Gratitude rocks for children's charity

Everyday after school my son joins me at my studio while I finish up work for the day. When I added a little retail spot within the studio last month he was really curious about as he watched me prepare for the launch. He asked if he could participate too. He decided to paint some 'gratitude rocks' that he learned about at summer camp. They are rocks you give to someone you're grateful for or you can carry them yourself to remind you what you're grateful for. If you stop by the studio you'll find his gratitude rocks for sale. They come in a little gift pouch with tag explaining the meaning behind the rock. He is donating all the proceeds to the local food pantry or animal shleter and is very excited about his display. When people come into the studio he whispers to me, "should I tell them about my rocks?". 💘  He came up with which organizations he will donate to on his own and his enthusiasm is adorable! One sweet lady bought one to send to her friend in Hawaii and he couldn't believe it. I'm a lucky mom to have such a sweet guy hanging with me at work each day. UPDATE 4/1/17: all of the Gratitude Rocks have sold out but more on the way! I have received many requests for more Gratitude Rocks and have a list going so if you'd like to be added to the list you can contact me here.

The Colors of Sand and Sea September 15 2016

New England Vintage Beach Photo, New Hampshire Shopping, Unique Gifts

It's all about connecting with color at RTD for fall/winter. I'm focusing on how colors make you feel & the symbolism behind each hue. Coming soon to the studio: I'll be bringing home goods, gifts & one of kind jewelry pieces into the studio to shop in person. Every couple of months there will be a new color palette presented to shop at the studio. This time around is all about finding ways to take those beachy blue hues with you through fall & winter. Sign up for the mailing list to get the latest details on when the pieces will be available in studio.

    Studio Move February 28 2016

Moving my workshop from an industrial mill building to a quaint studio space closer to home.

I sure am going to miss this place. I'm saying goodbye to this studio space at the end of the week. A studio space closer to home opened up and of course I had to take it! I've been at my current studio for two years and it's been terrific. But my new studio has things that are too good to pass up! It will be housed inside my sister in law's yoga studio so I'll be close by to friends and family. I'll even be able to walk to work everyday which is a huge bonus!

Once I'm settled at my new studio space I'll be launching my gifts & home collection. If you've been following along for a while (and thank you if you have - I love getting to know you!) you know I've been working on the gifts & home line since 2013. The line has evolved over time into so much more than I originally planned and I'm excited to share it with you! You may have also heard me mention that I've been hoping to open a brick & mortar location in the future. While I won't have a full on storefront at my new studio space I will be sharing a small, thoughtfully curated selection of items each month as well as hosting quarterly markets. The quarterly markets will feature a full selection of limited edition jewelry, homewares/decor and gifts for those on your list. To see what's available at the new studio each month (some of it can ship to you if you're not local) and to keep up with the dates of the quarterly markets you can join my weekly email list or follow along on Facebook & Instagram.

More Studio Snapshots from 2015 December 30 2015

Studio Space Art Studio Workshop in New England

This long, old table passed down from my mother-in-law found a home as my bench many years ago. I think it's around seven feet long so I can spread out with lots of space to run my production line. This side of the table is where drilling, polishing and other finishing techniques are done as well as any sawing and soldering.

Vintage bookplates of gemstones: the top left is smoky quartz. The top right is rose quartz/japser. The bottom left is amethyst and the bottom right is agate. I have two more to add to the collection one pyrite and another rose quartz, I think.

Production work at my studio space in New England

Production work: Fan pendants hammered & personalized, ready to be drilled & then polished.

Studio Snapshots Mother's Day gifts from my son

My favorite days at work are the days when my son visits me at the studio. I don't bring him there often enough and he's always asking to come to work with me. Last spring he stopped by for a visit to drop off some flowers and a leaf he found as gifts for me on a walk. After he left I found them carefully placed on this chair - so damn cute.

Prepping for a product photography shoot in my studio

Prepping for a product photography shoot for some of the new pieces that debuted in 2015. I often sit in this chair with it in facing the little green wooden chest. I place a white backdrop on top of the chest. It's a setup that works well if I catch the light at the right time of day.

Production work for my new line The Halo Collection - custom personalized jewelry

Production work: matching up some Halo Collection mixed metal finish combinations for orders placed after the collection was released in the fall of 2015. Shown here are bright sterling pendants with bright sterling and gold halos and gold pendants with bright sterling or gold halos.

A little visitor at work today

My studio assistant dropping by for a visit after school and chatting my ear off while I finished packaging orders for the day.

Jewelry Production Work Refinishing Vintage Brass Lockets

Production work: Message, Tiny & Teardrop style lockets during their polish session. These are vintage deadstock lockets from the 1940s-1960s (both sourced here in New England) so they arrive to me in need of refinishing. I put them through four steps of refinishing bringing them to a high, golden shine. This is the first step in the process.

Shelfie above my shipping station in my studio.

Studio shelfie. Years ago I pinned that larger photo of the woman with her eyes closed (by artist Cate Parr) to my "studio inspiration" board. My husband bought it for me for my birthday a couple of years ago and here she is rocking the shelf area above my shipping station. To the left of her is a print by friend and photographer Colleen Dubois (the other purple print). Colleen has shot a couple of my collections in the past and partnered with me to offer print/locket gift box pairings for Holiday 2014. You'll see some the photographic work she did with me in a new collection release coming soon!

product packaging for a personalized bridesmaid jewelry order

Little dried starflowers are the final touch in the product packaging for this bridal party order.

More studio shots found here or follow along on Instagram where I often behind the scenes of my work and process.
